I have long admired Wayne Cooperman of Capital Capital and his ability to identify and invest in multi-bagger stock market opportunities. I have previously invested in Resource America (REXI) and found it to be a deeply misunderstood opportunity. The best way to describe REXI is to view them as a publicly traded private equity firm with interests in real estate, CDO asset management and equipment leasing.
Valueinvestorclub.com's analysis suggests REXI's equipment leasing business is worth approximately the market cap of the company so you are getting the rest of the companys assets for free.

Following the Coopermans: Resource America, Atlas America
While it is important to always undertake a large amount of due diligence when researching an investment idea, it is just as important to make sure that after a period of time you’re not the only one who has come to the conclusion that your particular investment is so extraordinarily undervalued.
That is why I have been thrilled that one of the premier father-son duos in value investing has been investing along side of me in the Resource America companies (
REXI), (
RSO) and the Atlas America companies (
ATLS), (
AHD), (
ATN), (
APL). For those who are interested my investment thesis on Resource America can be found
